Sara graduated from Pass Christian High School in 2013, earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Mississippi State University in 2016, and obtained a graduate certificate in Human Resource Management from Louisiana State University in 2018. During her time at Mississippi State, Sara participated in the Disney College Program (Spring 2015), studied abroad in Ireland while studying Gender & Media outside of the United States, and played multiple roles in ESPNU's Campus Connection program. During her senior year of college, Sara interned for the Public Relations Association of Mississippi (PRAM).

Once she graduated from Mississippi State, Sara interned for Hollywood Casino Gulf Coast/Penn National Gaming in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi for one year. There, she worked as a Casino Operations LEAP Associate (Leadership Excellence at Penn National Gaming). Sara currently resides on the Louisiana Northshore and works for GIFTED Healthcare, a nursing agency headquartered in Metairie, Louisiana, as a Nurse Engagement Specialist. As a Nurse Engagement Specialist, Sara works very closely with both the Talent Acquisition and Marketing departments. Along with work, Sara is (newly) involved in the Mississippi Gulf Coast Human Resources Association (GCHRA) as well as The National Society of Leadership and Success. During her "free time," Sara loves to attend yoga classes, explore the outdoors, take photographs, play with her puppies, drink coffee/hot tea, and watch Good Morning America. Sara is scheduled to graduate with her Master of Science degree in Human Capital Development on December 7, 2018. In February 2019, Sara will take the SHRM-CP (Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional) exam in hopes of gaining her SHRM certification.
